Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.~ by Marianne Williamson

Okay, I'm rather vulnerable right now, but we all are... all the time...really. Anyhow, this brought me to tears. Thank you.

some of us more than others right now... personally my nerves feel like they are resting on top of my skin somedays, so I think I may know a little of what you are feeling...

Catherine showed me this, and the quote is from a movie we watched the other night - words I needed to hear myself.

Callooh, I came to your blog via Gary's. Thanks for sharing this video. And the quote you have here - believe it or not, I was about to post this on my blog as soon as I saw 'Akeelah and the Bee'. I'm assuming that's the movie you heard the quote from. :)

That particular quote spoke to me at great lengths as well, since I was at crossroads and questioning a lot of things about myself. I guess even thought we don't know each other it's amazing how little it sometimes takes to realize we're not alone. Take care.

exactly where I got the quote, I was just watching it with my daughter. It was what I needed to hear at this point in my life too, funny that - people are more alike than we imagine -- I like think so, anyway. thanks Vee.
